I’m a big Pokémon Fan. From watching the Anime to trading Cards and playing the first Games in elementary school, Pokémon was my World. But as I grew up, going through Puberty and into my mid-twenties, I gradually drifted away from it until I was 25.
Then, I encountered a challenging period in my life dealing with Mental Health Issues. During this time, I withdrew from all my Friends and isolated myself in my Apartment, spending my Days watching Series on Netflix. Eventually, I grew bored, having exhausted all the Shows I wanted to watch.
Then I discovered the first Season of Pokémon again while scrolling around. Suddenly, I was back into Pokémon like a kid again. I watched the Anime and ended up binging all the Seasons. I ordered the latest Game available and picked up a Nintendo 3DS.
Later, I started playing Battles online, and eventually, I even took part in competitive Video Game Tournaments. After successfully overcoming my Mental Health Issues, I began traveling around Europe to compete in these tournaments.
My best performance was at the Malmö Regional Tournament, where I finished 12th.
I set my sights on earning an Invitation to the World Championships in Nashville. After grinding for almost a Year, I finally amassed the required Championship Points to compete there.
So, I headed to Nashville for the World Championships, but before that, one of my best friends and I took a road trip from Miami to Jacksonville. We then flew to Nashville for the Tournament. We had a fantastic Time there, it’s a really cool City that I’d definitely recommend visiting.
Unfortunately, I didn’t succeed in the Tournament, but the Experience was invaluable. To wrap up our Trip, we went to New York City.
A year ago, I decided to start getting Tattoos of my favorite Pokémon. Each Pokémon I chose for a Tattoo is one that I’ve actually used in my Tournament Teams. I’m not done yet, as I plan to cover my entire Leg.
That’s the Story of my Pokémon Journey, which ultimately led me to start getting Pokémon Tattoos. I hope you enjoyed reading it. If you did, feel free to leave a Comment!
Tattooed by Hernan Noble of Noble Art in Zurich – he’s an absolutely brilliant tattoo artist.
